The most important information
DO I NEED THE APP FOR MY STAY?
Yes, you do! All doors and services at the hotel are conveniently operated via our BoxHotel app. Please make sure to book online before your arrival and check in while on the go. On your arrival day, you can unlock all doors via Bluetooth using the app.
From 3 PM to 11 PM, hotel staff are always available on-site to assist with any questions or issues. We guarantee that everyone will get into their box – and enjoy the perfect night’s sleep.
DO I NEED TO BOOK ONLINE IN ADVANCE?
Yes, absolutely. Since we operate without a traditional reception on-site, we cannot accept cash payments. Therefore, it’s best to book before your arrival. You can easily pay online at boxhotel.de using credit card or PayPal.
At the hotel, we accept your debit (EC) or credit card for any additional charges.
WHEN CAN I CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT?
From 3:00 PM daily, all boxes are cleaned and ready for you. From this time, you can check in and settle into your room. Since we are a fully app-based hotel, you are not dependent on staff or hotel circumstances but organize your stay and arrival time independently. All publicly accessible hotel doors, as well as your room, can be opened via your app.
We kindly ask you to check out by 11:00 AM on your departure day. Late check-out is not possible.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE BOXES?
The BoxHotel offers three different types of sleeping boxes:
1. Single Box
You can book the Single Box starting at €24.99. It usually includes a single bed, a desk, a washbasin, and a private shower*.
*Exception: At BoxHotel Göttingen, Single Boxes do not have a private shower or desk.
2. Standard Box
Alternatively, you can book a Standard Box for €29.99. It features a sofa bed and a washbasin on the ground floor, plus an additional bed and a shower on the upper floor, which is accessible by stairs inside the room. The box is 3.60 meters high and can accommodate up to two people. For double occupancy, the second person pays an additional €7.99.
3. Comfort Box
The Comfort Box includes all the features of the Standard Box but offers a 40 cm wider bed on the first floor. You can book this box starting at €34.99 for single occupancy. For double occupancy, the second person pays an additional €7.99.

IS SMOKING ALLOWED
The BoxHotel is a strict non-smoking hotel. However, you are welcome to indulge your habit in the designated area in front of our entrance. Please keep the area clean and use our ashtrays.
WHAT IF MY PHONE DOESN´T WORK?
The hotel has a service bell—please contact the on-site staff. If no hotel employee is available, please call our service hotline at +49 551 63374858, which is available 24/7.
CAN I STORE MY LUGGAGE
After coordination, we are happy to store your luggage in our back office. For example, if you need to take care of something after check-out or arrive at the hotel before the check-in time.
WHAT FOOD OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE DURING MY STAY?
The BoxHotel focuses entirely on providing a great night’s sleep. You’ll always find the best rest with us! Snacks and drinks are available from our vending machine located in the reception area. Restaurants and breakfast options are always nearby, as BoxHotels are conveniently located in city centers.
You can find detailed information and any special discounts for local venues in the BoxHotel app. Whenever possible, restaurants, clubs, and local spots offer exclusive discounts for BoxHotel guests. More information is available in our app and on the hotel’s website.
ARE THERE TOILETS IN THE BOXES?
Toilets are available to you at any time in our public bathroom area. The boxes themselves do not have a private toilet.
DO THE BOXES HAVE WINDOWS?
Our boxes feature a special ventilation system. Even without windows, you can always breathe easy with us! 1,000,000 liters of fresh air per day – that’s as much as you breathe in over 100 days.
